The Catalyst Dancers, in its 15th year as the pre-professional dance company of the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School, invites you to a celebration of innovation and student-driven choreography that expresses the full dynamic spectrum and “fierce” spirit of PVPA’s young dancers. This season’s gala performance will present “Continuous Replay” by world renowned choreographers BILL T. JONES & ARNIE ZANE, “the tipping point” a world premiere by Chicago native b-boy James Morrow, PVPA faculty, including a work by Alpha “Bisko” Kaba and PVPA’s west African Dance group WOFA, as well as many alumni choreographers and performers coming home to show work and, finally, world premiere pieces by Catalyst members. Performance works feature a diverse range of genres and styles including contemporary, hip hop, ballet, improvisation and jazz. A special anniversary celebration of PVPA alumni, faculty and surprise guests will be held on Friday, April 12th. COME CELEBRATE 15 YEARS OF DANCE AT PVPA!
