Tina Packer, the founder and former Artistic Director of Shakespeare & Co., has probably directed more Shakespeare productions than any other woman in the world. In Women of Will, she interweaves performances of scenes from the plays with discussions of Shakespeare’s evolution as a playwright. Already a major critical success, Women of Will is designed to appeal to those who are new to Shakespeare as well to veterans. This show will highlight the Academy’s celebration of SWAN Day on March 24th. SWAN Day is an annual international holiday that celebrates women artists.
